Our Favorite Wedding Venues in Boston, Massachusetts and Beyond

The 2024 wedding season is beginning at Elle Weddings and Events and we couldn’t be more excited. From Boston to the North Shore and all the way up to the coast of Maine, these are some of the best wedding venues we have had the pleasure of working at as Boston wedding planners.

5. The Peabody Essex Museum: If you are a bride who appreciates art and culture looking to hold your wedding on the North Shore of Massachusetts, a Peabody Essex Museum wedding is what you are looking for. Despite its name, this venue is located in Salem, not Peabody. With multiple options for ceremony locations, an impressive cocktail hour setting in the Main Atrium, and all of historic Salem for photos, guests are sure to be wowed by this unique location. The Peabody Essex Museum is the oldest continually operating museum in the United States. A wedding here is a one-of-a-kind experience for all, with a backdrop of both art and stunning architecture.

4. Misselwood Estate: Brides who appreciate a scenic location and a historic mansion would make the right choice with Misselwood Estate, located in Beverly at Endicott College. Just 20 minutes north of Boston, A Misselwood wedding combines an old world feel with some modern day charm, with ceremonies taking place with an epic seaside backdrop followed by a tented reception. If you are looking for a private estate wedding venue that can accommodate 200+ guests, you should consider a Misselwood wedding.

3. Boston Public Library: Classic, black tie dreams come true at a Boston Public Library wedding. This venue is historic and sweeping, with a grand staircase perfect for a first look. As Boston wedding planners, we love a wedding venue in the heart of the city and this one encompasses everything that is classic Boston. This venue is also perfectly suited for a large wedding or a more intimate affair. Picture your guests mingling amongst statuesque columns, bookshelves and marble floors as you say “I do”.

2. Newagen Seaside Inn: If your wedding dreams have you traveling up the coast to seaside Maine, the Newagen Seaside Inn in Boothbay Harbor is an excellent choice. Your ceremony will take place with romantic water views that are quintessential Maine. A coastal Maine wedding is sure to leave an impression on all of your guests, conjuring up memories of blissful summers past. Breathe in the salty air before heading to your reception inside or under the tent.

A Glen Magna wedding is ideal for a bride eager to be surrounded by greenery, but also appreciative of classic statues and fountains. The estate has a rich history and award winning gardens, with a picture perfect gazebo at the center. Walk down the aisle surrounded by flowers and dance the night away in a tented reception as you feel the summer breeze and all that the North Shore has to offer as you celebrate under the stars.
